Mr. Lim Tian Huat is the Managing Partner of Lim Tian Huat & Co, Chartered Accountants and a licensed auditor and liquidator. He was previously a partner of Ernst & Young from 2002 to 2009, heading the Corporate Restructuring practice, and prior to that served as a partner of Arthur Andersen & Co. from 1990 to 2002, heading the Global Corporate Finance practice of the firm. He was also appointed to the Global Council for Corporate Recovering Services between 1997 and 1998. He was also Chief Operating Officer of Asean’s Corporate Recovering Services from 1999 to 2001.
Mr. Lim was a member of the Corporate Law Reform Committee (CLRC) appointed by the Minister of Domestic Trade and chaired Working Group “D” which was set up to consider the current law and practice relevant to corporate securities and insolvency practices. He has also served as Commissioner to the United Nations Compensation Commission from 1998 to 2002 and co-authored a book entitled “The Law and Practice of Corporate Receivership in Malaysia and Singapore”.
He is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Council Member of the Malaysia Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). |
