| Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Wan Abdul Aziz Wan Abdullah is the Secretary General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance. He has 34 years of experience in the public sector, most notably in the area of economic planning. He started his career at the Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister’s Department in 1975, serving in various capacities in the area of macro economy, human resource and energy. He also served as an Alternate Executive Director for the World Bank Group in Washington DC, where he represented several Asian countries. He then returned to Malaysia and served in the Ministry of Finance, and in 2007 he was appointed the Secretary General of Treasury. He presently holds membership in the board of directors for organizations such as the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA), Malaysia Airlines System Berhad (MAS), Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), MISC Berhad, Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP), Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn. Bhd. (SYABAS), Cyberview Sdn. Bhd., Pembinaan BLT Sdn. Bhd. and Bank Negara Malaysia. Tan Sri Dr. Wan Abdul Aziz holds a Ph.D in Economics from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. |
