| Lai Wai Keen is the General Manager of Policy and International Division. She is responsible for PIDM's key policy areas and international relations. She was one of the members of the Deposit Insurance Task Force of BNM, which was set up to establish the deposit insurance system. The task force was responsible for developing policies that take into consideration the specific needs of the Malaysian financial system and Malaysian depositors. She has over 20 years of regulatory experience with BNM, including in bank regulation, communications, international relations and negotiations. She holds a degree in business administration from the University of Malaya and a law degree from the University of London. |
