Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (“PIDM”) would like to caution members of the public about letters purporting to be from PIDM, to deceive members of the public into transferring money out of their accounts for the purposes of payment of fees to PIDM for deposit insurance or takaful and insurance benefits protection.
Please note that there are no fees chargeable to the public or any depositors or takaful and insurance policy owners for deposit insurance or takaful and insurance benefits protection. Deposit insurance and takaful and insurance benefits protection is provided by law and is automatic.
If you have received such a letter, you may lodge a complaint with Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia.
