Kuala Lumpur, 4 February 2026: Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM) has announced the appointment of Mr Toi See Jong to its Board of Directors (Board) effective 3 February 2026.
With over 30 years of regional experience in insurance and actuarial practice, Mr Toi See Jong has held senior leadership roles across Malaysia, Singapore, China and Hong Kong.
“We are pleased to welcome Mr Toi See Jong to the Board. His extensive experience and strong leadership background will undoubtedly strengthen the Board’s collective expertise. We are confident he will contribute greatly to our ongoing efforts to enhance governance, operational effectiveness and our ability to deliver on PIDM’s mandate,” said Datuk Abu Huraira Abu Yazid, Chairman of PIDM.
Mr Toi previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Tokio Marine Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd., as well as past President of the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia. He was also on the Board of the Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad. Mr Toi holds a Bachelor of Actuarial Science Statistics (Hons) degree from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries, Scotland.
Datuk Abu Huraira also took the opportunity to express the Board’s appreciation to Ms Gloria Goh Ewe Gim, whose term ended on 2 February 2026.
“On behalf of the Board, I would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Ms Gloria Goh for her dedication and valuable contributions over her nine years as a member of PIDM’s Board of Directors, particularly for her leadership as Chair of the Audit Committee for the majority of her tenure. We thank her for her service and wish her success in her future endeavours,” added Datuk Abu Huraira.
